Shri M.Gopalakrishnan, FIBRE Founder President, former CMD of Indian Bank was born on 29.07.1935 and did his B.Com (Hons) graduation in Pachayappa’s college. Joined the Bank as Probationary Officer on 01.06.1958 and served in different capacities viz. Branch Manager, Regional Manager, General Manager, Executive Director. He was Chairman and Managing Director for 7 years from 1988-1995.
He was popularly known as Peoples’ Banker and passed away at the age of 85 on 30.09.2020. He is survived by his wife Smt G.Rajalakshmi , Daughter Smt Shakila , son in law Shri R.Ramesh and two granddaughters.
