Pl Kr SRINIVASAN
Pl Kr Srinivasan, former Deputy General Manager of Indian Bank passed away in early hours of December 31, 2016 at Chennai at the age of 79 years due to age related illness.
Mr Pl.Kr.Srinivasan, well known by the name”PL.KR” was born on 9/1/1937 to Mr Karuppan Chettiar and Ms Nachammai Achi in Kallupatty, then Ramnad Dist (now Sivagangai Dist).
He had his schooling in D’Britto School, Devakottai and graduated in Economics from St Josephs College Trichy.
He joined Indian Bank in the year 1960 as Officer in Coimbatore. He has served in various branches in Tirunelveli, Madurai and was promoted as Manager in Koothanallur Branch. When he was in Pudukkottai, he was sent for training to UK and Germany for 9 months. Then he was posted in Foreign Exchange Dept, Chennai. Thereafter he worked as Manager in Salem and Guntur. Later on promotion as Chief Manager, he became Regional Manager, Kolkata. He also worked in Thousandlights Branch as Chief Manager. He headed Harbour Branch on becoming AGM and on promotion to DGM, he became the Zonal Head at Trichy Zonal Office of the Bank. He retired in the year 1997 from Domestic Operations Department in Head Office.
He was a religious person and also an ardent listener of Music
He is survived by his wife Ms KR.S.Meenakshi and 2 sons KR.S.Chellappa and K.S.Valliappan and blessed with 2 grandsons, 1 grand daughter and one great granddaughter.
FIBRE Members were shocked to hear the sad news of his untimely death. Many members of FIBRE have had the opportunity to work with him and in their condolence messages they have described his qualities and recalled fondly their interaction with him in their condolence messages and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
