To mark the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Forum of Indian Bank Retired Executives, FIBRE, a function was held at IMAGE, Chennai on the evening of Saturday, the 27th June 2015. It was a pleasant gathering of more than eighty six members, and some members were present with their spouses. Besides the members, invitees included family members of descendants of founders, past CMD, of our bank and serving executives.
The program included a cultural dance depicting the popular ones from different states of our country and lasted for an hour. The program was enacted by alumni of Kalakshetra, the Advaita School of dance led by Ms. Vidhya Prabha and was very much entertaining. Members who were super senior citizens of 80 and above were honored with a shawl and silver plaque. Those honored included a centenarian officer Sri. Sitaraman, living in Chennai, Adyar. Also the former CMDs present were honored. Many members, former CMDs and invitees felicitated FIBRE and its activities.
A souvenir was released on the occasion and the first copy was presented to Sri. Krishnan, General Manager, Indian Bank by Sri T. S Raghavan, former CMD of our Bank. A Members Directory booklet comprising the details of 216 Members was also released and the first copy was presented to Sri.Srinivasaraghavan, General Manager, Indian Bank by Sri.M.S. Sundararajan, former CMD of our bank. A felt desire of making the website for FIBRE was accomplished and the web site was dedicated by our President Sri. M Gopalakrishnan.
