TRIBUTE & SALUTATION TO THE DEPARTED GREAT SOUL

Dr.M.A.M.RAMASWAMY CHETTIAR
Sri.M.Gopalakrishnan, President & the members of Forum of Indian Bank Retired Executives (FIBRE) in our meet on Monday 11th January 2016 at IMAGE at 4.00 p.m. with an attendance of 41 passed the resolution condoling the death of Dr.M.A.M.Ramaswamy Chettiar on 2nd December 2015 by observing a minute silence to pay our respects to the departed great soul.
Sri.M.Gopalakrishnan recalled the association of Dr.MAM’s family to the formation of our beloved Bank & his roles with the Bank prior to Nationalisation and thereafter & quoted that Dr.MAM was instrumental for the Bank to acquire 45 grounds at MRC Nagar from their family for the construction of IMAGE / the inauguration of IMAGE by Dr.MAM in November 1995 prior to the retirement of our President.
He also narrated about the active involvement of Dr.MAM in various activities like religion, education, philanthropy, sports (viz., tennis, hockey, horsing, etc,) besides a great industrialist of Chettinad Group.
Thereafter Mr.Pr.Balasubramanian, GM (Retd.) spoke of his family’s association with Dr.MAM & his family and quoted various instances which indicated his love and affection for the Bank and its Officers, his humane approach in treating everyone alike, his passion for horse racing / his philanthropic acts to people who are in need without differentiating known and unknown people.
